Family Fun Day
Connecting Community with the Women & Families Team & Sathya Sai
Recently, the Women & Families team partnered with the Sathya Sai organisation
to host a special Family Fun Day.
The Family Fun Day sought to break social isolation for mothers and families and encourage a better quality of life. The event helps bring people together to build
a stronger sense of community.
The event attracted 120 clients and 70 Sathya Sai volunteers, plus the Women & Families Team, held at Blacktown Showgrounds.
There were games for the whole family including soccer, dodgeball, relays, musical chairs, egg and spoon races and bubble chasing.
Lunch and healthy treats were provided.
The event gave families an opportunity to get out of the house, have some fun, and meet new friends.
"Even though we have recently moved out of the Blacktown area, we still really wanted to come today because we love to feel part of the community. Here we feel welcomed and you don’t get that everywhere” said one client.
